The products
Are the shells real?
Yes. Our shell picks, sea biscuit and starfish magnets, and shell appetizer forks all use real seashells. Because they're natural, every one is a little different in shape, size and shade of white — that's the charm.
What are the picks made of?
Natural bamboo with a decorative topper. The bamboo is food-safe and the stick is compostable. Our mini appetizer forks are 100% bamboo with a two-prong, splinter-free design, and the glass straws are high-borosilicate glass with a hand-shaped glass starfish.
How long are they?
Most cocktail picks are about 4.7 inches (12 cm), which suits everything from a coupe to a highball. A few designs run a touch longer, up to about 6 inches, and the exact length is listed under "Materials & size" on each product page. Appetizer forks are about 3.5 inches; glass straws are about 7.9 inches.
Are they reusable?
The bamboo picks and forks are made for one party. Compost the stick when you're done, or wipe the topper clean and use it again for dry snacks. They're not dishwasher safe. The glass straws are the opposite: fully reusable, dishwasher safe, and every order includes a cleaning brush.
Are they safe for kids?
They're party accessories, not toys. Picks have small parts and magnets are magnets, so please keep both away from young children.
Ordering
How many picks do I need?
For a cocktail party, plan on two to three picks per guest. For passed appetizers, one pick per bite. A set of 25 covers a small get-together, a set of 50 or 100 handles a bigger party with spares, and sets of 300 and 500 are there for weddings, caterers and events. The per-pick price drops as the set gets bigger, so it's usually worth sizing up.
Can I mix designs?
Please do. Add three or more sets to your cart in any combination and 10% comes off automatically at checkout — no code needed.
Do you do bulk or wedding orders?
Yes. Most designs come in sets of 300 and 500 right on the product page. For larger quantities, custom mixes or anything with a date attached, tell us about your event and we'll put a quote together.
Can I add a gift note?
Yes. There's an "Order special instructions" box in the cart. Write your message there and we'll include it with the order.
Shipping & returns
How much is shipping, and how fast is it?
Standard US shipping is $5.95 and free on orders of $60 or more. Express is $15. Orders ship from the US within 1–3 business days and you'll get tracking as soon as yours is on its way. We ship within the United States only for now.
What is shipping protection?
It's an optional $2.99 add-on in your cart that covers your package against loss, theft or damage in transit. If something goes wrong, we replace the order. Untick the box in your cart if you'd rather skip it.
What's your return policy?
Unused items in their original packaging can be returned within 30 days of delivery for a refund. Return shipping is on you unless the item arrived damaged or we sent the wrong thing. The full details are on our Shipping & Returns page.
Something arrived damaged. What now?
Sorry about that. Email us within 7 days with your order number and a photo and we'll send a replacement or refund you — whichever you prefer.
